Mais derives from the French word Maison which means house or more importantly home. 

Mais blends this heritage with modern diaspora. Through immigration and exploration we are now one interconnected community each of us with our unique history and spirit that contributes to a society.

The Elephant symbolism comes from shona tradition of a spirit of a spirit totem which is inherited from one's forefathers. The spirit of the elephant encompasses: Royalty, wisdom, pride and protectiveness of ones family and community.

In the modern day many are displaced from their heritage, But within us is a spirit of excellence, a spirit of affluence, a spirit of royalty.
